My 2013 ♥ One little Word

Last year my one little word was simplfy ... For reasons that were clear {if you knew about my personal life and my home life... you would totally get that} 

This year however ... I need to learn BALANCE ... So that has become my word of the year, Between my 3 jobs, my family and starting my personal relationship over ... And then ME ... I need to learn to balance all of them ... I am important, and too many times I let my own needs go by the way side to make everyone else happy ... So far this year I have bought myself new shoes, new jeans, and new sweaters ... I feel good about where I am ... and with my one little word ... I will live with Balance!



Another Semi-productive day .... well ...

All the crap is out ... now where should it all go ??? That has been a huge task today ... I broke down and took all my pampered chef stones out of their boxes ... I know ...I know ... I can't believe it either ... but boy did all those boxes take up a lot of room ... Kenny and Dawson burned all of them before i could change my mind ... The shelf is now in its new home, the garage ... And my new cabinets are sitting on the washer/Dryer awaiting their hanging ....maybe tomorrow.

Getting it together - Day 2

This is the sight before the make over ... The right is the shelf that is going ba-bye!   I'm so sick of all the organized clutter ... I don't know what it is, but I'm so sick of all the "STUFF" and that shelf just seems to collect it all ... What the heck is it anyway ??? A Meat slicer {can't remember the last time it was out} a dutch oven {never even been out of the box} an air popper {used once 8 years ago} a never used fondue pot, candles candles candles ... More laundry and cleaning stuff than I'll use in a lifetime,  CRAP-CLUTTER-UGG

 

 So today, after a very slow start, the shelf is out, and the freezer has moved into its spot, and tomorrow the washer/dryer will be unstacked {thank you Cody & Kenny} and hopefully the new cabinets hung and shelves installed ... I am determined to be 100% organized by the new year ... I'll post more pix tomorrow ... Happy Saturday ...

Organizing for the new year ☼ Day 1

Each year I swear I'm going to get organized and loose the clutter ... This past year has been great for loosing the clutter, but the .but the orgaanizing ....well ... ya, not so much .... since I'm on school break, I am going to FINISH this!!! Today is day one ---  We all have that one place in our house that needs a little de-clutter/organization/decoration & functionality .... mine is my "mudroom" it is the place where all things seem to gather {and never leave} where all things go, well, because there is just no other place for them ... I started this room a few years ago, it now has a bench to sit on {put your shoes on}it opens {for my wrapping paper obsession}, a fun shelf with baskets {for the crap} and hooks to hang your jackets/keys on ... lets see if the new year starts a trend of new orginization and space reallocated ... Stay tuned .... for the finished photo tonight .... What room do you need a sign for ???

just me crafting and creating --- welcome to my wonderful world

This is my Bff's daughters ...They recently moved from Gig Harbor to Vancouver and she wanted to give something special to her daughters best friends ... she took a photo of them and added it to these frames I made for her.   The frames are solid wood and the thin wood is glued on top and the photos and thick plastic is held in place by nails I hand painted the Best friends ...
